Cheryl has been a student studying Biological Natural Sciences at Cambridge since 2017.
She is an advocate for proteins from plant-based sources, having led a society that spoke on the United Nations. Cheryl’s passion is research, in genetically engineered rice and bioinformatical research in rare genetic diseases, which is awaiting publication on Nature.
She has been tutoring science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) from 13+ up to A Levels since 2016. She is experienced in Oxbridge admissions process, having given public talks and interviews for renowned magazine articles (Study Abroad magazine, 2018). She is experienced in giving interview mocks and advices, covering entrance exams (materials and tactics), revising and brainstorming for PS’s.
She also corrects and advises general US and UK application essays and interviews, from undergraduate studies all the way up to PhD statements and proposals. Her success cases includes 3 Cambridge Natural sciences undergraduates, one Cambridge graduate studying a Master’s degree, and one computational biology PhD in France.
She is experienced in teaching standardised exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, SAT subject tests, ACT.
She is fluent in both English and Chinese and can teach Chinese.
