I will help you or your child address mathematical problems through a tailored, supportive approach. I use positive, constructive feedback to make lessons enjoyable, motivational, and worthwhile.
Before teaching, I like to chat about both of our strengths and weaknesses. You need to understand how I teach, just as I need to understand how you best learn. First lessons are half price, and act as a trial run. Afterwards, I introduce testing (don't worry - nothing intimidating) and start tracking progress.
Whether you need stretching beyond the syllabus, help with the foundations, or help applying to uni, I can work to address these challenges.
I've tutored GCSE and A level mathematics for four years, and taught some first year undergraduate mathematics. Having studied at Balliol College, Oxford University, I have a first hand knowledge of the the admissions procedure. I also scored 1, 1, 1 in STEP, so I can help with Oxford or Cambridge maths admissions.
Being based in Oxford, I'm lucky to have unique access to research, innovation, and pressing conversations. I can discuss this with you, and answer any questions you have about life here as an undergrad.
I look forward to hearing how I can - hope to speak with you soon!
